Expanding Your Work Consciousness

Expanding Your Work Consciousness

I’m going to write about expanding your consciousness regarding your work. And this includes tapping into sources beyond our ego based small self. I’m going to take a stretch here and discuss asking for and receiving guidance and support from our soul, guides, angels, and deceased loved ones.  You may not believe that we have a soul, guides or angels, but if you do, or are open to the idea, then this article is for you.

Let’s start with some descriptions.

Who is our soul?

Our soul is that part of ourselves that is always with us, stays with us, and guides us through all our incarnations on planet earth. The soul knows our true reason for being here (our life purpose), what challenges we came to deal with (life lessons), and how we can learn from them. Our soul is always with us. It is our guiding force through life and our connection with Source (God, Universe, or whatever you want to call it).

Who are your guides?

Your guides are your helpers across the veil of consciousness. Many guides have experienced earth life, which makes them familiar with the challenges we may be going through. They are available to assist you and may give us nudges and messages that show up in our intuition, or that we feel in our heart or gut. They know you and are waiting for you to ask them for help.

Who are your angels?

Angels are considered a higher level than guides. They have not incarnated on the earth plane before. We all have at least one angel (some call this their guardian angel), however there are many angels hovering around us. Like spirit guides they may give us messages and are waiting for us to ask them for help. They have our back.

Deceased Loved Ones

Your deceased loved ones are those who have passed on but have a deep connection with you. These could be deceased parents, grandparents, spouses, close friends or children who have passed. They may act as spirit guides and may be around you whenever you think of them, or they think of you. They may give you signs or nudges. They are available to help you if you ask for help or guidance.

The intersection of work and spirituality.

We can receive guidance and assistance when asking for help with our work challenges and decisions we may be faced with.

When faced with work related challenges, such as a career transition, help with an upcoming job interview, or whether to stay in or leave a dissatisfying position; you can ask for help from your soul, guides, angels or deceased loved ones.

To do this, get yourself in a quiet, relaxed and calm place. You can do this when meditating as well, as meditation opens up our perceptions. As Suzanne Geismanne* suggests, take a deep vagal breath; breathe in slowly and fully, hold your breath and then slowly let out all your breath, and then let out a little bit more. This puts pressure on your vagus nerve which helps calm us down. When we are in a calm state, we are more receptive to messages from the other side of the veil.

Then, set your intention. An example of an intention may be, “please help me gain insight on the best work option for me right now.” Then ask for a sign. “Please give me a sign.” The sign can be an insight, something that pops into your consciousness, or a physical sign such as meeting someone, seeing a message on a sign or license plate, or even hearing a voice in your head. When this happens take note and see if the message is relevant to your situation and question asked. You can even ask who this nudge is coming from and then ask for evidence. See yourself as a radio picking up signals from your soul, guides, angels and deceased loved ones who are transmitting messages to you. Dust off your antenna and be sensitive to what it is picking up?

Stay open as you go through your day and be receptive to signs you may be picking up. Make note, and if they feel right, act on them. Be patient with yourself and stick with it. These skills can take continued practice to develop.

Let me know how these practices go for you.
